Below we explain how Te Omanga Hospice (TOH) collects, stores, uses, and shares your personal information. Please read the below carefully.

What will your personal information be used for?
The personal information you provide on this site is collected by TOH for the purpose of assessing your suitability for employment, and to update you on employment opportunities in the future (if your application isn’t successful). If your application is successful, we’ll store your personal information on your ELMO personnel file. If your application isn’t successful, your personal information will be held on our candidate's file for 12 months (before it’s confidentially destroyed), and we may contact you if a suitable employment opportunity arises.

What personal information does TOH need from you?
In order to be considered for employment with TOH, or to be updated on suitable employment opportunities, you’ll be asked to provide personal information. This information includes (but isn’t limited to):

  • Name
  • Address
  • Contact details
  • Details around your entitlement to work in New Zealand (e.g. residency status, visas, etc)
  • CV
  • Previous education
  • History of employment
  • Referees
  • Results of any applicable pre-employment checks and assessments (e.g. police checks, credit checks, children’s worker safety check, medical assessment etc)
  • Health conditions that might prevent you from carrying out the work/job requirements to a reasonable standard
  • Connections/relationships within TOH or a company associated with Hospice New Zealand.
  • Evidence of practicing licence or certification (if appliable for the role)
  • Drivers licence

If you fail to provide any of the information we request, we’ll be unable to send you information, fully process your application, or properly consider you for employment. All information that is submitted to us must be true and correct.

How your personal information will be collected?
We collect personal information from you when you complete our online application form, as well as at other stages during the recruitment process, for example, relevant questionnaires or when collecting references. TOH needs this information in order to properly consider your application to work with us.

How do we store your personal information and how can you access it?
Your personal information will be held within our ELMO system and may only be accessed by TOH.

You have a right to view your personal information held by us and you may request correction at any time. If you want to change any of your details yourself, you can do this online through your candidate profile.
