Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Kitchen Supervisor to join our team in the Hospice kitchen. As the Kitchen Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen.  This permanent part-time position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the provision of high-quality care within a supportive and compassionate work environment.   Days of work will be Tuesdays, Thursdays and alternative Fridays (Fridays may become weekly).

Key accountabilities include:

  • Providing a quality catering service to our patients in the inpatient unit
  • Providing catering for internal groups such as paid Education courses is provided
  • Maintaining hygiene to a very high standard at all times
  • Monitoring the kitchen budget in partnership with the Kitchen Manager 

Desired Skills and Experience

Desired Skills and experience:

  • Experience in food preparation and catering
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a kitchen environment
  • Supervisory experience, including leading a team and managing work schedules
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Understanding of stock control and inventory management
