About Te Omanga Hospice

As Kitchen Manager, you’ll play a vital role in supporting this vision — ensuring our patients receive nourishing meals that contribute to their comfort and wellbeing.

Job Description

About You:

Are you passionate about food, people, and making a real difference every day? We’re looking for a motivated and caring Kitchen Manager to lead our kitchen team in delivering high-quality, nourishing meals to patients in our inpatient unit.

This is more than just a job — it’s a chance to be part of a compassionate, purpose-driven environment where your skills and heart truly matter.

 What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Being part of a team that delivers exceptional catering services that meet Health & Disability Sector Standards and support the nutritional needs of our patients.
  • Managing all kitchen documentation to ensure compliance and excellence.
  • Leading and inspiring our Kitchen Supervisor and our dedicated team of volunteers.
  • Ensuring resources are used wisely and cost-effectively.
  • Training, supporting, and coaching daytime volunteers and staff in kitchen operations.
