Job Description
Retail Driver/Helper - full time (40 hours per week)
We have an opportunity for a Retail Driver/Helper to enhance the services of our Retail outlets by providing prompt, courteous and efficient pick-up and delivery of donated and purchased goods, and to assist with ad hoc delivery duties for the Hospice as and when required.
Main responsibilities:
Pick up and delivery service:
To deliver a wide variety of items to different addresses and through different routes on behalf of our Retail stores
To load, unload, prepare, inspect and operate the delivery vehicle
To help contribute to providing a reliable, timely and professional service to Te Omanga donors and customers, remembering you are representing the company when driving and interacting with customers
To look to resolve any customer issues as quickly and efficiently as possible
To maintain vehicles and equipment in good working condition and tidy
To inspect vehicles and equipment regularly to ensure in good working order
To be a supportive and helpful team member
To ensure occupational safety and health requirements are observed at all times
To ensure that the dignity and privacy of customers and donors is maintained at all times
Ideally you will have demonstrated experience in customer service and knowledge of a customer service approach. A clean Full Class A Drivers License is essential. You will need to be physically capable of dealing with large and sometimes heavy items, up to a weight of 25kg with the use of approved provided equipment. You will also need competent computer skills and the ability to be empathic and respectful in your communication.
